Regional Directorate of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship

RDSDE Uttarakhand came into existence on 14th December, 2018 vide Gazette Notification No. DGT-A-11018/1/2018-Adm.II. Regional Directorates of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (RDSDEs) are  attached offices of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Government of India and are under the administrative control of the Directorate General of Training.. As per territorial jurisdiction, There are a total of 22 RDSDEs throughout the whole country, and they are mainly situated in the capitals of the respective states.

RDSDE Uttarakhand is situated in lush green campus of National Skill Training Institute, Dehradun. This Directorate monitors the implementation of the various schemes of DGT/MSDE.

Broad Functions / Activities of RDSDEs: 

Implementation, Monitoring and Coordination of the following Schems.

• Craftsmen Training Scheme
• Craft Instructor Training Scheme
• Apprenticeship Training Scheme
• Advanced Vocational Training System
• National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme
• Skill Strengthening for Industrial Value Enhancement Operation (STRIVE)
• Up gradation of Model ITIs
• Up gradation of 1396 Government ITIs through Public Private Partnership.

Trade Testing Cell for examinations of all schemes (CTS, ATS, CITS)

Handling of Court Cases

Coordination the activities of Prime Minister Kaushal Kendra (PMKK) Prime Minister Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) Centres.

Coordination with Central/State Ministries / Departments for Central / State Sector schemes on Skill Development and Entrepreneurships such as DDU-GKY and NULM etc.

Coordination with District Skill Nodal Centre and District Skilling Committee under the Chairmanship of District Collectors in the State

Scheme of Polytechnic (Strengthening and New Polytechnics)

Coordination with skill universities under the Central/State Government Act for various activities.

RDSDE Uttarakhand is committed to provide best services/support and guidance to all the establishments, apprentices, State Govt. organizations. and other stake holders in the States of Uttarakhand for the effective implementation of all the schemes of DGT/MSDE in order to improve vocational training and skilling of people and to increase their employability by up-skilling through various schemes of DGT/MSDE.
